THE SECRET GARDEN, Madonna University Lyric Theatre
The story follows young Mary Lennox who, after she loses her parents to a cholera outbreak, is sent to live with her reclusive uncle. She befriends her sickly cousin, Colin; discovers her late Aunt Lily’s hidden garden, which she is determined to revive; and is both warned and welcomed by “Dreamers,” those in her past. The adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s Victorian classic was written by Marsha Norman, with music by Lucy Simon.

The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood in this hilarious and timeless Sondheim musical.

The result is musical theater featuring everything from Tango to Punk Rock. Bonus! - the audience helps re-enact civil war battles!

Jonathan questions his life, his loves, and his commitment to his art on this journey to write the Great American Musical.
